As a modular upgrade, it increases the thermal mass and heat storage of the cap without having to replace the existing captive cap. This supports longer heating cycles, more even heat distribution and more controlled extraction. The design is such that the sleeve snaps securely over the top collar of the captive cap while maintaining adjustability and airflow. Complete extractions can be achieved in as little as one to two heating cycles, depending on the application. It is fitted by carefully pressing it onto a compatible captive cap, ideally in the assembled state.
