Who is the CFX for?
For customers who want to see numbers and accept a larger device for it. At 12.8 by 7 centimetres the CFX is no pocket device, but you get a display that shows everything at once. In the trade it is the article for people who vaporize at home and among friends and want to keep control.
38 to 220 degrees
The range begins unusually low. At 38 degrees practically nothing happens — the figure exists because the control reaches that far down, not because you work there. It becomes practical from about 170 degrees. Upwards the scale ends at 220 degrees, which is enough for herbs. The degree-accurate setting is where the CFX differs from devices with fixed levels.
Full convection
The pre-heated air only meets the filling chamber once the target temperature is reached. That makes it real convection and not a hybrid: the material does not sit on a hot surface and does not scorch. For flavour that is the most important difference from conduction devices in the same price bracket.
The insulated air path
The air path is fully insulated, so the drawn air does not pass the electronics. The aroma stays clean and the vapour dense. In practice it also means the dirt collects where you can reach it — cleaning is correspondingly simple.
Twenty seconds
Around 20 seconds to target temperature is a very good figure for a convection device of this size. A discreet vibration alarm reports the moment, so you do not have to stare at the display. Anyone coming from a device with a minute of pre-heating notices the difference immediately in daily use.
Battery and charging
The 2500 mAh battery is good for 10 to 15 sessions depending on temperature and shuts off automatically. Charging takes around 30 minutes — that is exceptionally fast and the reason the built-in battery hardly matters here. Charging and using at the same time is possible; there is no forced break.
Herbs and concentrates
A capsule for concentrates is included, so both materials run. The chamber should be cleaned between materials. For the trade that is an argument against a second device, with the honest limitation that a dab rig delivers more with concentrates.
The size
12.8 by 7 centimetres is a lot for a portable device. The CFX fits a jacket pocket but not discreetly into a trouser pocket. Anyone looking for a pocket device is in the wrong place — anyone looking for a device for home and for the group gets display, battery and charging time that smaller devices do not offer.
Cleaning and wear
Packing and dabber tool as well as a cleaning brush are included. Chamber and air path are cleaned regularly, and isopropyl alcohol dissolves the rest. Wear occurs on screens and seals, both available individually. A cleaning set belongs in every order and costs almost nothing to buy in.
Warranty
The manufacturer gives two years' warranty. On a device in this price bracket that is a selling point worth naming — not every manufacturer in this segment does it. The manual is included in English, which should be mentioned in the sales conversation so nobody hunts for a German version.
How to use it
- Take off the mouthpiece and fill the ceramic chamber loosely.
- Switch the device on and select the temperature by the degree.
- Wait around 20 seconds until the vibration reports the target temperature.
- Draw slowly and evenly.
- After the session clean the chamber and the air path.
