The AirVape Legacy Pro is the predecessor of the Legacy PRO 2 and remains a full-grade device: convection heating with degree-accurate control from 100 to 240 degrees, a gold-plated chamber, a removable glass air path and a replaceable 18650 battery with 3,000 mAh. Charging is over USB-C or wirelessly. The device is being run out and is on special offer — for the trade it is currently the cheapest way to sell a Legacy device.

Who is the Legacy Pro for?
For customers who want an upper-class device and are willing to take the previous model for it. Technically the Legacy Pro lacks little: degree-accurate control, gold-plated chamber, glass air path and a replaceable battery are all there. In the trade it currently has the best ratio of equipment to price, because it is being run out and is on special offer. Anyone who wants the current model reaches for the PRO 2 — that note belongs in the conversation.
100 to 240 degrees
The range is wider than on most portable devices and is set to the degree with two buttons. Downwards it reaches into a band otherwise reserved for desktop devices, upwards to full extraction. Most users work between 180 and 205 degrees, but the range is the argument against devices with three fixed levels. Anyone running concentrates needs the upper degrees anyway.
Convection and heat-up time
The Legacy Pro heats by convection, with air rather than through the chamber wall. Flavour is preserved longer that way, because the material does not sit on a hot surface. Around 15 seconds to readiness is a good figure for convection; the vibration signal reports the moment. Anyone coming from a conduction device notices the difference in the aroma on the first draw.
The gold-plated chamber and the capsule
The chamber is plated with 24-carat gold. Gold is flavour-neutral, conducts heat very well and does not lose its surface the way a coating does. For small amounts there is a gold-plated capsule as an accessory that allows microdosing without running the chamber half-empty. That is an add-on sale which follows almost by itself as soon as someone asks about smaller portions.
The glass air path
The air path is removable and made of glass. Condensate therefore collects where you can reach it instead of in channels inside the housing. Anyone who puts the path in isopropyl alcohol every few weeks has the draw resistance of the first day back. That is exactly where other manufacturers' devices fail after six months, and exactly why the Legacy Pro rarely comes back as a supposed defect.
Battery, charging and motion sensor
The 18650 battery with 3,000 milliampere hours is replaceable. Charging is over USB-C with fast charging or wirelessly on a charging pad — both as standard, which is unusual in this class. A motion sensor switches the device off after 60 seconds without movement; that saves material and prevents the half-scorched chamber when someone puts the device down and forgets it.
Material and build
Housing and surfaces are made of hemp-based textile, vegan leather, black ceramic, glass and the gold plating in the chamber. That is an unusual mix of materials and the reason the device feels more expensive in the hand than it currently costs. The textile surface grips better than painted metal and takes scratches less badly.
Herbs and concentrates
A concentrate pad is included, so both materials run. Between materials the chamber should be cleaned, or the aromas mix. For the trade the dual use is an argument against a second device — with the honest limitation that a real dab rig still delivers more with concentrates.
Run-out model on special offer
The Legacy Pro is no longer being produced and is therefore on special offer. For the trade that means: the price is as good as it will ever be, but availability is finite. Wear parts remain available because they are shared with the Legacy PRO 2 and the CORE. Anyone wanting to carry the device should build the stock now and not next quarter.
Second battery and stocking
Because the battery is a standard 18650, a second one costs little and can be had anywhere. For the trade that is an obvious add-on sale which at the same time lengthens the device's life. Anyone carrying the Legacy Pro should order batteries, screens and mouthpieces along with it — the parts also fit the CORE and the PRO 2, so the stock spreads across three devices.
Legacy Pro or Legacy PRO 2?
The PRO 2 is the current generation with reworked hybrid heating and up-to-date electronics. The Legacy Pro offers convection, the same material quality and the same form at a considerably lower price, as long as stock lasts. Anyone looking for a device for the next five years takes the PRO 2; anyone who wants a lot of device for little money right now takes the Legacy Pro.
How to use it
- Take off the mouthpiece and fill the gold-plated chamber loosely.
- Switch the device on and choose the temperature with the two buttons.
- Let it heat until the vibration signals.
- Draw slowly and evenly, not too hastily.
- After the session brush the chamber out while still warm.
