The Limelight Frolic is an upper-class hybrid device: a responsive heater of conduction and convection with a large heating body, a fully insulated air path of CNC-milled PEEK and a steplessly adjustable airflow from 0 to 25 litres per minute. Who is the Frolic for?
For customers who have already had several devices and are looking for the next step. The Frolic is no beginner's device: it has two operating modes, a steplessly adjustable airflow and a replaceable battery — all things you have to use for them to pay off. The large heating body
A larger heating body holds the temperature more stable, because it stores more heat and does not collapse the moment you draw. That is the reason for reproducible results: the tenth draw tastes like the first. Combined with the hybrid heating — conduction for the chamber, convection for the air flowing through — that gives a device that reacts fast and still stays even.
PEEK instead of glass
The air path is made of CNC-milled PEEK, a high-performance plastic. PEEK is flavour-neutral, withstands thermal stress and does not break like glass. For a device that gets carried, that is the decisive difference — on glass devices the air path is the most common damage. Fully insulated also means the air does not pass the electronics.
Airflow from 0 to 25 l/min
The rotating mouthpiece base lets the airflow be set steplessly — from fully closed to 25 litres per minute. That is far finer control than the usual two or three holes, and combined with the elliptical mouthpiece it is the device's real dial. Anyone using it gets considerably more out of the same load.
Session and demand
In session mode the device holds a constant temperature between 40 and 220 degrees. In demand mode it heats only during the draw, but up to 240 degrees. Both modes have their use: session for the group, demand for the single draw in between and for maximum economy with the material. Switching is a matter of two button presses.
The cooling module
Over 200 millimetres of air path means a lot of cooling distance in a small space. Together with the PEEK air path the vapour arrives pleasantly, even when you work in the upper temperature range. The module is compatible with 18 mm and 14 mm joints, so the device can be connected to existing glass.
Modular and tool-free
The device comes apart into its pieces without tools. That eases not only cleaning but repair: what breaks gets replaced instead of the device being sent in. For the trade that means a spare parts business and fewer complaints — provided the parts are on the shelf.
The replaceable battery
A 21700 battery, a Molicel P50B in the box, can be taken out and swapped. That is the point that decides the lifespan: when the battery fades after two years, it gets swapped instead of the device. A second battery in the case replaces any power bank. Charging is over USB-C.

What the Frolic demands

How to use it
- Open the chamber and fill it loosely with ground material.
- Switch the device on and choose session or demand mode.
- Set the temperature and let it heat.
- Set the airflow at the mouthpiece base and draw slowly.
- After the session take the device apart and clean the pieces.
