Who is the Vapman for?

For customers who want no electronic device. The Vapman has no battery, no display and no control — the temperature comes out of the flame, the distance and the draw, and the click signal says when it is time. In the trade it is the article for people coming from the DynaVap or looking for a device they will still be using in ten years.

The click system

When heated, a bimetal snaps over and gives an audible click. That is the moment the temperature is reached and you can draw. So nothing has to be estimated and nothing counted — the device says so. Precisely this detail takes the chance out of flame heating and makes it reproducible.

The gold-plated copper bowl

Copper conducts heat very well and therefore spreads it evenly over the small chamber. The gold plating makes sure the material does not touch copper and no flavour of its own arises. The combination is the technical core of the device and the reason it works so well with very small amounts.

Cherry wood

The housing is made of pre-flamed cherry wood. Pre-flaming raises the heat resistance so no extra insulation is needed, and it colours every piece slightly differently — two Vapmans never look the same. For the trade it is a device you have to put in people's hands; it does not sell through the data sheet.

Adjustable airflow

The air supply can be set, which makes the difference between a microdose and a full load. Little material and little air give a concentrated draw, more material and more air a longer session. Anyone tuning the two to each other gets considerably more out of the same amount.

Conduction and convection

The bowl gives heat directly to the material, and the air flowing through heats additionally. This mixture is typical of flame-heated devices and delivers a clean flavour, because the material does not sit on a permanently hot surface. After two or three sessions the technique settles.

What is missing

The heat source is not included. A storm lighter is needed, and that point absolutely belongs in the sales conversation — otherwise the customer stands at home with a device they cannot put into service. A lighter therefore belongs in the same order.

The hardshell case

A firm case is included in which device and accessories have their place. On a device of wood and metal that gets carried in a bag, that is no trimming: it prevents pressure marks in the wood and holds everything together. For the trade an argument worth naming, because other manufacturers leave it out.

Cleaning and lifespan

The bowl is wiped out, isopropyl alcohol dissolves residue, and the wood stays dry. Because there is no electronics, there is nothing that could age — the Vapman is a device that gets used for decades if you look after it. All parts are available individually, which makes repair a matter of minutes.

For the trade

The Vapman is no volume article but a device for a particular clientele — and they come back for spare parts, lighters and screens. Anyone carrying it should be able to show it unpacked, because it sells through the feel and not through figures.

How to use it

1. Open the device and fill the bowl loosely with herbs.
2. Close the device and heat the cap with a storm lighter.
3. Wait until the click signal sounds.
4. Set the air supply and draw slowly.
5. After the session wipe out the bowl.
