Switch²
Suitable only for wax
The Dr. Dabber Switch² heats by induction: it is not a heating wire that gets hot but the quartz insert itself – contact-free, through a magnetic field. An infrared sensor continuously measures the actual temperature in the bucket and adjusts.
Features
- Induction heating with a titanium induction chamber
- 20 mm quartz insert, swappable for sapphire
- Infrared sensor reads bucket temperature in real time
- Degree-precise temperature control from about 121 °C to 343 °C
- Ready to use in 15 to 25 seconds
- 3000 mAh battery – about 17 to 25 sessions
- 36 W fast charger, full in 60 to 90 minutes
- Pass-through charging while in use
- App connection for custom heat profiles
Induction instead of a heating wire
With induction a coil creates a magnetic field that heats the insert itself – without any heating element touching it. That has two advantages: there is no component that wears out or burns, and the heat arises exactly where the concentrate sits. The insert rests in a titanium chamber with the coil fully built in.
The infrared sensor
A built-in infrared sensor continuously reads the bucket's temperature – like a laser thermometer inside the device. If it deviates from the target, the Switch² adjusts immediately. Instead of an estimated temperature you get the actual one, throughout the entire session.
Quartz or sapphire
A 20 mm quartz insert comes fitted. Anyone wanting more heat retention switches to sapphire: the material holds heat longer and releases it more evenly, which favours flavour especially at low temperatures. Both inserts are wear parts and available separately.
Battery and charging
The built-in 3000 mAh battery carries through about 17 to 25 sessions at typical settings. The supplied 36 watt adapter charges it fully in 60 to 90 minutes; the device can be used while charging.
How to use it
- Take off the glass attachment and check the quartz insert.
- Switch the device on and select the temperature.
- Let it heat for 15 to 25 seconds.
- Place concentrate in the hot bucket, put on the carb cap and draw.
- Wipe out the bucket with a cotton swab once cool.
