Description

The Pax Mini 2 is the brand's smallest vaporiser: 89 grams, barely visible in a closed hand, ready in 22 seconds. Despite the format the chamber holds up to 0.5 grams, and four intelligent heating modes between 180 and 215 degrees adapt the power to your draw through lip sensing. Charging happens magnetically over USB-C. For the trade it is the device for everyone who finds every other one too conspicuous — and at the same time the article that sells as a second device to existing customers without replacing the one they have.

Features

  • Ultra-compact at only 89 grams — lighter than a phone and barely visible in a closed hand
  • Newly calculated oven chamber for up to 0.5 grams, more than the format suggests, enough for a round of two
  • Four intelligent heating modes between 180 and 215 degrees, each tuned to a way of using it, not merely four temperature steps
  • Lip sensing detects the draw at the mouthpiece and adjusts the power during it — the vapour is built in the draw rather than between draws
  • Heat-up time of 22 seconds — faster than any other Pax device and than almost any vaporiser in this class
  • Battery life of up to sixty minutes, enough for several sessions in a row
  • Magnetic USB-C charging cable, fully charged in about ninety minutes, the cable aligns itself
  • Haptic feedback and adjustable LED brightness for operation without looking — discreet in the dark, readable by day
  • Flat and raised mouthpieces included, plus two oven lids, which lets you adjust the volume of the chamber
  • Multi-purpose tool, cleaning brush and three oven screens included — nothing is missing to start
  • Chamber designed for easy cleaning so the flavour stays constant — particularly important with a short air path
  • Available in Onyx, Greenstone and Pink Crush, technically identical, an eye-catcher on the shelf
  • Designed for dry herbs, with the familiar Pax draw, without the format forcing compromises
  • Wear parts available individually from the manufacturer and re-orderable for years

Who is the Pax Mini 2 for?

For customers who put discretion above all, and for everyone looking for a second device for the move. 89 grams is less than a phone, and the housing disappears in a closed hand. In the trade the Mini 2 is the article for customers who say other vaporisers are too bulky or too conspicuous for them — it answers that objection without further discussion. Anyone who buys it often already has a larger device at home and wants something handier for the move. In our experience it rarely stays with the Mini 2 alone — whoever buys one has or gets a larger device too.

Small, but with half a gram

The chamber holds up to 0.5 grams, which is surprising in this format and separates the Mini 2 from true pen vaporisers. Both short single draws and longer sessions are therefore possible without refilling in between. Anyone filling less works with the oven lid supplied for smaller loads. For selling, the capacity is the argument against the assumption that a small device can only do a little. For the trade that means the Mini 2 also sells to customers who actually asked for something bigger.

Lip sensing

Sensors at the mouthpiece detect when a draw is actually happening and push the heating power in at exactly that moment. The result is vapour built during the draw rather than dissipating between draws — that saves material and keeps the flavour fresh. The four heating modes are therefore not just temperature steps but each their own tuning of temperature and power curve. In the shop it is hard to explain and easy to demonstrate — best on the third and fourth draw, because that is exactly where the difference shows.

22 seconds

Twenty-two seconds to operating temperature is a record figure for a herb vaporiser and the practical difference from larger devices that need a minute. For the customer that means the Mini 2 actually gets used instead of lying in a drawer, because the waiting is gone. In the sales conversation it is easy to demonstrate by counting along — faster than any other Pax device. Anyone coming from a group in which every device needs a minute notices the difference at once.

Battery and magnetic charging

Up to sixty minutes of running time is a lot for a device this size and enough for several sessions. Charging happens over a magnetic USB-C cable that aligns itself and charges fully in about ninety minutes. The magnetic connection is at the same time one wear point fewer, because no socket works loose. Replacement cables are available individually and belong on the shelf, because a lost magnetic cable puts the device out of action. Anyone using it daily charges about every other day without thinking about it.

Operation without looking

Haptic feedback signals readiness and mode changes, and the LED brightness can be adjusted — discreet in the dark, easy to read by day. Together with the low weight that makes a device you take out of your pocket, use and put away again without looking at it. For customers who care about discretion, that is not a detail but the reason to buy. Anyone using the Mini 2 in the dark or at the cinema will above all appreciate the dimmable LED.

Two mouthpieces, two oven lids

Flat and raised mouthpieces as well as a normal and a tall oven lid are included. The raised mouthpiece cools the vapour over the longer path, the tall lid changes the volume of the chamber. The device can therefore be set up for short or for long sessions without buying anything. For the trade both parts are at the same time the obvious wear items. Try both and after a few days you find the combination that suits your own way of drawing.

Cleaning

The chamber is designed for easy cleaning; a brush, a multi-purpose tool and three oven screens are included. Residue dissolves in isopropyl alcohol. With the Mini 2 in particular, cleaning more often than on larger devices pays off, because the short air path clogs faster and the draw resistance then rises immediately. Give it a quick brush through after every second session and there are no problems. A cleaning kit therefore belongs in every order with a Mini 2 and costs almost nothing at wholesale.

Three colours

Onyx, Greenstone and Pink Crush are available. Technically all three are identical, so it is purely a decision about looks — but one that shows on the shelf, because three colours address different groups of customers. In our experience Onyx sells best; the coloured versions go where the device is also on show. For the trade three colours mean three items in stock but visibly more space in the display.

Mini 2, Four or Flow?

The Mini 2 is the smallest and fastest, with the shortest heat-up time and the lowest weight. The Four is larger, has the longer running time and the shake operation. The Flow offers four times the airflow, the learning control and the bong mode. Anyone wanting to stay inconspicuous takes the Mini 2; anyone working with it at home is better served by the Four or the Flow. All three share part of the wear parts, which simplifies stock keeping across the models.

How to use it

  1. Remove the oven lid and fill the chamber with up to 0.5 g.
  2. Fit a mouthpiece, flat for the move, raised for the cooler draw.
  3. Switch the device on and select one of the four heating modes.
  4. Let it heat for 22 seconds until the vibration signals.
  5. Brush the chamber and screen out after the session while still warm.
