The Yocan Hit 2 is a compact convection vaporizer for dried herbs: hot air flows through the load instead of heating it via the chamber wall – which yields clean, flavourful vapour with short heat-up times.

Convection instead of contact heat

On the Hit 2 it is not the chamber wall that acts as the heating element but the air: heated, it flows through the material and releases aromas and active compounds evenly. The advantage over pure contact heat lies in flavour and in the load not caking onto the walls. Filling loosely matters more here than packing tightly – the air needs a path through the material.

Ceramic oven and temperature control

The oven is made of ceramic and stays neutral in taste. You set the temperature to the degree between 93 °C and 249 °C. Low settings around 160 °C emphasise the aromatics, the middle range around 190 °C is the balanced standard, higher values deliver denser vapour and use up the load faster.

Magnetic glass mouthpiece

The mouthpiece is made of heat-resistant glass and is held magnetically – it comes off without tools. An integrated screen holds back fine particles. Glass adds no flavour of its own and cleans easily with isopropyl alcohol.

Battery and daily use

The 1800 mAh battery is generous for a vaporizer of this size and carries through about three to five sessions depending on temperature. Charging is via USB-C. The zinc alloy housing is sturdy and compact enough to carry permanently.

How to use it

1. Take off the magnetic mouthpiece and loosely fill the ceramic oven with ground material.
2. Put the mouthpiece back on and switch the device on.
3. Select the temperature on the colour display and let it heat for around 30 seconds.
4. Draw slowly and evenly through the glass mouthpiece.
5. After the session let it cool, empty the oven, clean mouthpiece and screen.
