The CRAFTY+ is the most compact vaporiser from Storz & Bickel: around 135 grams, eleven centimetres long, and still the same patented hybrid heating as in the MIGHTY+ and the VENTY. It is operated by a single button on the device; anyone wanting finer control connects it by Bluetooth to the web app and sets the temperature there to the degree. Manufacturing is in Tuttlingen.

Who is the CRAFTY+ for?
For customers who want the Storz & Bickel technology but do not want to carry a device that fills a jacket pocket. At around 135 grams the CRAFTY+ weighs a little more than half the MIGHTY+ and fits in a trouser pocket. In return you accept a shorter runtime and an operation that on the device itself only switches between two preset temperatures. Anyone wanting degree-precise settings needs the smartphone — a drawback for some, exactly right for others, because it keeps the device itself uncomplicated.
One button on the device, the rest in the app
Storz & Bickel has deliberately split the operation. On the device there is one button: press once to heat to the base temperature, twice for the boost temperature. Everyday use mostly needs nothing more. Anyone wanting to change both values opens the web app in the browser and connects by Bluetooth — there the temperature can be set to the degree and the charge level, current chamber temperature and remaining operating time read off. It is explicitly a web app, not an installation from a store.
Hybrid heating of convection and conduction
The heating technology is the same as in the brand's large devices: the chamber wall supplies base heat and keeps the load at temperature between draws, the passing air carries the rest. On a device this size that is the decisive point, because pure convection devices in pocket format cool down between two draws and only deliver vapour again after a few seconds. The CRAFTY+ pulls through — the fifth draw is as dense as the second.
Ceramic-coated chamber and dosing capsules
The chamber is ceramic-coated, which keeps the flavour neutral and makes wiping out easier. It takes the same dosing capsules as the MIGHTY+ and VENTY, so customers who own several devices of the brand need only one stock. On the CRAFTY+ in particular the capsule pays off: because the device is small and used on the move, refilling from a tin is impractical — with prepared capsules the load is changed in seconds.
Battery, Supercharge and runtime
The 2900 mAh battery is the smallest in the portable range, which is to be expected at this format. In practice it lasts an evening, not a whole trading day. In return it charges over USB-C with Supercharge to eighty per cent in forty minutes, and pass-through allows operation on the cable. For customers who use the vaporiser at home in the evening and charge it overnight that is no drawback; for continuous use on the road the MIGHTY+ is the better choice.
Format and build
At around eleven centimetres long and 135 grams the CRAFTY+ is the only device of the brand that can genuinely be carried in a trouser pocket. The housing is made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic and is considerably more robust than it looks. As with all devices from Tuttlingen nothing sits loose, and the plastics do not smell even when hot — a point at which cheap devices give themselves away immediately in direct comparison.
Cooling unit and cleaning
The cooling unit between chamber and mouthpiece can be fully dismantled and soaked in isopropyl alcohol. The chamber is swept out with the supplied brush. Because the CRAFTY+ is used on the move more often than the large devices, residue collects in the airpath faster — cleaning every two weeks keeps the draw easy. All parts of the cooling unit are available separately, which turns a repair into a spare-part purchase.
Spare parts and service life
For wholesale the spare-part supply is the real difference from cheaper devices. Cooling units, screens, sealing rings and mouthpieces are available separately for years. The battery is built in but can be replaced by Storz & Bickel in a service case. A device that is still repaired after four years has a different resale value from one where the first fault means the end.
What the CRAFTY+ adds over the old CRAFTY
The step lies mainly in the charging technology and the electronics. The CRAFTY+ charges over USB-C with Supercharge instead of Micro-USB, heats more evenly and holds the temperature more stably. The predecessor's accessories still fit, cooling unit and capsules included. For existing customers the switch is therefore uncomplicated; for new customers version 2 is in any case the only one still supplied.
CRAFTY+, MIGHTY+ or VENTY?
The CRAFTY+ is the choice when the device has to be small and the app does not get in the way. The MIGHTY+ has the larger battery, the display on the device and degree-precise setting without a smartphone — it is the best seller of the range. The VENTY adds the twenty-second heat-up and the adjustable airflow on top, and is in return the largest and most expensive. All three use the same heating technology and the same dosing capsules.
How to use it
- Fill the chamber loosely or insert a prepared dosing capsule.
- Switch the device on with the button; pressing twice heats to the boost temperature.
- Let it heat for around sixty seconds until the vibration reports the target temperature.
- Draw slowly and evenly; the temperature can be readjusted in the web app while you do.
- After the session empty the chamber and dismantle and clean the cooling unit.
