The MIGHTY+ has been the benchmark among portable vaporisers for years and is the device that needs the least explanation in the shop: switch on, choose the temperature, draw. Under the housing sits the same patented hybrid heating as in the VENTY, plus a ceramic-coated chamber, a 3300 mAh battery and USB-C with Supercharge. Manufacturing is in Tuttlingen, and spare parts are still available individually years after purchase.

Who is the MIGHTY+ for?
For customers who want the most device for the money and will give up the last few seconds of heat-up time for it. The MIGHTY+ is no pocket device — at 235 grams and with a housing that recalls a tool rather than a lifestyle product, it is aimed at people who put function before form. In retail it is the safest device on the shelf: it has been sold for years, there are hardly any complaints, and anyone who has had one buys it again next time. Anyone wanting faster takes the VENTY; anyone wanting smaller, the Crafty+.
Hybrid heating of convection and conduction
Storz & Bickel combines both heating methods in a patented process. The chamber wall supplies base heat and keeps the load at temperature between two draws; the hot air passing through carries the rest and ensures even extraction across the whole filling. That is why the MIGHTY+ delivers vapour immediately even at low settings and does not fall off over the course of a session — unlike pure convection devices, which cool down between draws. The range runs from 40 °C to 210 °C and is set to the degree.
SuperBoost in two stages
The SuperBoost raises the set temperature during operation without changing the base setting. Stage one adds fifteen degrees, stage two goes straight to the maximum of 210 degrees. It is the practical way to get the most out of a load at the end, when the vapour is thinning: press twice, take the last draws, and after switching off the old value is back. For advice it is a tangible argument, because every customer knows this situation.
Ceramic-coated chamber and dosing capsules
The chamber is ceramic-coated. The coating keeps the flavour neutral and makes wiping out easier, because resin does not stick as it does on bare metal — a point that only shows after months, but then clearly. The chamber takes the Storz & Bickel dosing capsules: small metal capsules in which a load is prepared and carried closed. Anyone wanting to refill on the move prepares several capsules at home and changes them in the device without loose material in a pocket.
Battery, Supercharge and running on the cable
The 3300 mAh battery covers a complete day, in practice around six to eight sessions depending on temperature. Over USB-C with Supercharge it is back to eighty per cent in forty minutes. Against the old MIGHTY with its barrel connector that is the most noticeable everyday advance, because the same cable as the phone fits and no special power supply has to be carried. Pass-through is supported: the MIGHTY+ can be used on the cable, which makes it usable as a demo unit on the counter.
Operation, display and feedback
Operation runs over three buttons and a backlit display that shows target and actual temperature at once, plus the battery level. There is no menu tree, no app and nothing that could go out of adjustment. As soon as the target temperature is reached, the device reports it by vibrating — so you do not have to look at the display but feel it in your hand. For the sale this simplicity is an advantage over devices that only do half without a smartphone: the customer manages without instructions.
Cooling unit and cleaning
The cooling unit sits between chamber and mouthpiece and lowers the vapour temperature considerably on its way to the lip. It can be fully dismantled and soaked in isopropyl alcohol; the chamber is swept out with the supplied brush. Anyone cleaning every two to three weeks keeps draw resistance and flavour constant. A resin-clogged airpath is by far the most common cause of complaints that are not device faults — a word at the point of sale spares retailers those cases.
Build, origin and spare parts
Storz & Bickel manufactures in Tuttlingen and comes out of medical technology; you notice it in the tolerances. Nothing rattles, nothing sits loose, and the plastics do not smell even when hot. More important than any figure on a spec sheet, though, is the spare-part supply for wholesale: cooling units, screens, sealing rings and mouthpieces are available separately, and for years after purchase. A device repaired rather than replaced after four years is a different product in resale.
What the MIGHTY+ adds over the old MIGHTY
The difference lies in three points. First USB-C instead of a barrel connector, with Supercharge, which cuts the charging time to forty minutes for eighty per cent. Second the ceramic-coated chamber, which keeps the flavour cleaner and is easier to clean. Third the revised electronics, which cut the heat-up time from around eighty to sixty seconds. Externally the two devices are almost identical and the accessories still fit — for existing customers a gentle switch without a new spare-parts list.
MIGHTY+, VENTY or Crafty+?
The VENTY heats in twenty instead of sixty seconds, is the only one with adjustable airflow and has the larger battery pack, but costs considerably more. At around 135 grams the Crafty+ is the most compact of the three and is controlled more finely through a web app, but has the shortest runtime. The MIGHTY+ sits between them and is exactly for that reason the device that crosses the counter most often: the same heating technology as the flagship, but at a price first-time buyers will also go along with.
How to use it
- Fill the chamber loosely with ground herbs or insert a prepared dosing capsule.
- Switch the device on and select the temperature to the degree on the display.
- Let it heat for around sixty seconds until the vibration reports the target temperature.
- Draw slowly and evenly; when the vapour thins, switch in the SuperBoost.
- After the session empty the chamber and dismantle and clean the cooling unit.
