The XMax V3 Pro is a portable pen vaporiser that works mainly by convection: hot air flows through the herb instead of heating it against a hot chamber wall. Add two operating modes, degree-precise temperature selection from 100 to 220 °C, an OLED display and a replaceable 18650 battery.

Who is the V3 Pro for?
For customers looking for a handy pen device with convection who do not want to choose between session and on-demand operation. The replaceable 18650 battery appeals to anyone who is often on the move or uses a device for a long time: a charged spare cell replaces waiting at the socket, and an aged cell is swapped instead of the whole device. With the included wax cup, the V3 Pro covers concentrates as well as herbs.
Convection and airpath
The heating chamber is made of metal; the herb is heated mainly by the hot air flowing through it. The mouthpiece holds a ceramic air channel, a silicone holder and a filter with a metal screen; on its way the vapour touches ceramic and stainless steel. The mouthpiece tip attaches magnetically and comes off in one movement. The moulded scraper is for stirring and filling — use it only with the device switched off.
Session and on-demand mode
In session mode the V3 Pro heats to the set temperature, signals readiness by vibration and holds the temperature for 4 or 6 minutes. The run time changes when you hold the power button and the plus button together for 2 seconds. In on-demand mode the device heats only while you hold the power button; it vibrates at target temperature. After 30 seconds the heating pauses with a triple vibration; pressing again extends it by a further 30 seconds. You switch between the modes by pressing the plus and minus buttons together once.
Controls and display
Pressing the power button three times switches the device on or off. Use plus and minus to change the temperature: one click adjusts it by one degree, holding adjusts it quickly. Holding the power and minus buttons together for 2 seconds switches between °C and °F. The OLED display shows battery level, operating mode, target and actual temperature as well as a heating symbol. In on-demand mode the device goes into standby after 30 seconds without use and switches off after a further 120 seconds.
Replaceable battery and USB-C
The 18650 cell sits behind the battery cover and can be taken out. Before first use, remove the protective tab in the battery compartment and fully charge the device over USB-C; the display shows the charging process. The manufacturer advises against storing the device for long periods with an almost empty battery: if the cell drops below 2 % and stays there, it will no longer accept a charge. The matching spare cell is available as an accessory.
Cleaning
The mouthpiece and filter are pulled off and cleaned with soap and water. For a thorough clean, soak all parts except the plastic mouthpiece in isopropyl alcohol for 10 to 20 minutes, rinse them thoroughly with clean water and let them dry. Clean the metal chamber with the brush and a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol, then heat it out for 2 minutes at maximum temperature. Pull the chamber screen out with the cleaning tool and use the same tool to press a new one into place. Never clean the device itself with water or submerge it.
V3 Pro or V4 Pro?
Both devices offer 100 to 220 °C, session mode with 4 or 6 minutes, on-demand mode, a metal chamber, an OLED display, a replaceable 18650 battery and USB-C. Wax cup, chamber screens, dosing capsules, glass mouthpiece, glass adapter, glass bubbler, silicone adapter and battery cell fit both. The V4 Pro brings a mouthpiece tip with 14 mm adapter for water pipes, adjustable airflow and a dosing capsule in the box. At 150.2 mm the V3 Pro is slightly shorter, has a plastic mouthpiece tip with ceramic air channel and includes the wax cup; it connects to a water pipe via the glass adapter from the accessory range.
How to use it
- Remove the protective tab in the battery compartment and fully charge the device over USB-C.
- Take off the mouthpiece tip and fill the chamber loosely with finely ground herb, not above the rim; for concentrates insert the wax cup and fill it no more than halfway.
- Press the power button three times, choose the operating mode and set the temperature with plus and minus.
- In session mode draw after the vibration; in on-demand mode hold the power button until the device vibrates and draw at the same time.
- Switch off by pressing the power button three times, let it cool, empty the chamber and clean it with the brush.
