XVape Fog Pro Kit

The Fog Pro is the convection vaporiser from XVape and the device with the largest battery in this range: an 18650 cell with 3200 mAh, replaceable. Pure convection, degree-precise control up to 220 degrees, fifteen seconds heat-up and a wax cup in the box — one device therefore covers herbs and concentrates without anything needing to be bought. On the shelf it sits between the pure herb devices and the considerably more expensive combination units.

Who is the Fog Pro for?

For customers who vaporise both — herbs and concentrates — and do not want to buy two devices for it. The wax cup is included, so nothing needs retrofitting. Add the largest battery in the range, which qualifies the Fog Pro for long days away from home. In retail it is the device for the customer who asks specifically for a dual-purpose unit and does not want to go into the price class above two hundred euros.

Pure convection

The heating element never touches the material; only the passing air is heated. That preserves the flavour to the last draw because nothing keeps cooking between draws, and it prevents the scorching at the chamber edge that conduction devices show at high temperature. The price is a slightly thinner first draw and the need to draw slowly and evenly — quick, short draws get little out of a convection device. Anyone coming from a conduction device should be told, or they will take the first draw for a fault.

Herbs and concentrates

For herbs the stainless steel chamber is filled directly. For concentrates the supplied wax cup goes in, the material is placed inside and the temperature is set higher. The change takes seconds and needs no tools. Because both modes use the same heater there is also only one airpath to clean — unlike combination devices that carry two separate chambers and want servicing twice over. That saves not only money but pocket space: one device, one cable, one cleaning set.

3200 mAh in a replaceable battery

The 18650 cell with 3200 mAh is the largest in this device class and can be taken out. That gives two advantages at once: long runtime without a socket and a device that is not retired for the sake of its battery after years. Anyone often on the move carries a second cell. For retailers the replaceable battery is a selling point and a spare part at once, and it keeps the customer in the shop rather than in mail order. At 3200 mAh the Fog Pro can be used for a whole working day without thinking about charging.

Degree-precise from 100 to 220 degrees

The temperature is set in one-degree steps. For herbs the usual range lies between 180 and 210 degrees, for concentrates above that. Because convection works more gently than conduction, the upper range here is genuinely usable and not just a figure on a spec sheet. Customers who watch flavour stay below 185 degrees; those wanting the strong draw go higher — both work with the same device. For concentrates the usual range lies between 210 and 220 degrees, so at the top end.

Fifteen seconds

Reaching 180 degrees takes around fifteen seconds, reported by vibration. For a pure convection device that is a very good figure; most devices of this design need considerably longer, because first the heater and then the air has to come up to temperature. In a sale it can be demonstrated by switching on and counting along — it is the argument that weighs heaviest with convection. Anyone wanting to push the time down further charges the cell fully; as voltage drops, heat-up time rises.

Zirconia mouthpiece and stainless steel chamber

The mouthpiece is made of zirconia ceramic, barely conducts heat and therefore stays cool. It comes off and can be bought separately. The chamber is made of stainless steel and is therefore insensitive to the higher temperatures concentrate use demands — ceramic would be the poorer choice here in the long run. Both are materials that give off no flavour of their own, not even after months. Both parts are available separately and should be carried as wear parts in the range.

Integrated stirring tool

The Fog Pro comes with a stirring tool for redistributing the load between draws. On convection devices that is not an accessory but technology: because the air finds its own way through the material, channels form past which the rest of the load goes untouched. A brief stir after the third draw brings noticeably more yield — and is the step customers most often do not know about. Anyone who forgets it thinks the device is weak, though half the load is still untouched.

Cleaning

Because the heating element never touches the material, less sticks in the chamber than on conduction devices. The metal screen at the bottom of the chamber is taken out after a few sessions and soaked in isopropyl alcohol, as is the ceramic mouthpiece tip. After using concentrates the wax cup should be wiped out straight away while warm — cooled concentrate is considerably more tedious to remove. A set of metal screens on the shelf covers the most frequent repurchase and costs little to buy in.

Fog Pro or V4 Pro?

Both work with pure convection, degree-precise control and a replaceable battery. The V4 Pro is more compact, has the adjustable airflow, the on-demand mode and the glass mouthpiece with 14 mm adapter for the water pipe. The Fog Pro has the considerably larger battery and the wax cup in the box. Anyone vaporising concentrates takes the Fog Pro; anyone vaporising on a water pipe takes the V4 Pro. Anyone needing both is cheapest off taking the Fog Pro and adding a glass adapter later.

How to use it

1. Remove the mouthpiece and pack the stainless steel chamber loosely with finely ground material.
2. For concentrates insert the wax cup instead and load it.
3. Switch the device on and select the temperature to the degree.
4. Let it heat for around fifteen seconds until the device vibrates, then draw slowly.
5. After the third draw redistribute the load with the stirring tool and carry on.
