Who is the Air Max for?
For customers looking for a portable vaporizer without giving up runtime. At 128 mm long, 30 mm across and 160 grams the Air Max sits between the tiny ArGo and the heavy Solo II MAX — it still fits a jacket pocket but lasts considerably longer than the pocket class. In retail it is the model for customers who buy a device once a year and then want to be left in peace.
A swappable cell instead of a fixed one
The Air Max uses a 26650 cell that can be taken out. For retail that is an argument twice over: a second charged cell extends the day indefinitely, and when the battery fades after years it gets replaced rather than the whole device. The 26650 also holds considerably more charge than the 18650 of its predecessors — hence two and a half hours instead of the barely more than one of the Air SE.
The glass stem is the chamber
As with all Arizer portables you do not fill a metal chamber but a glass stem, which then goes into the heater well. The vapour therefore touches nothing but glass the whole way. To change the load you pull the stem out instead of working inside a hot chamber — which is why Arizer devices still taste clean after years.
Degree-precise temperature and OLED
The range runs from 50 °C to 220 °C and is set to within one degree. The OLED can be dimmed and switched to dark mode when the glow is a nuisance. Besides temperature, the session timer and the beep are adjustable. For selling, degree-precise control is the distinguishing feature against the Air SE, which offers only five preset levels.
Runtime, charging and demo use
One charge lasts up to two and a half hours of vaporizing. Charging is over USB-C, the same cable as the phone. Thanks to pass-through the Air Max can be used on the cable — precisely what makes it a usable demo unit in the shop, where it may hang on the mains all day without anyone thinking about the battery.
Accessories in the box
The box holds an aroma tube with cap, a frosted stem as a water pipe adapter, an aroma dish, three travel tubes, a USB-C cable, a stir tool and a screen pack. Nothing needs buying to get started — the customer can connect the device to their existing bubbler on the day of purchase.
Cleaning
The effort is low: tap the stem out, soak it in isopropyl alcohol when needed, sweep the heater well with the brush. Because the vapour path is glass, badly gummed-up parts can be soaked completely with no electronics anywhere near. The screens are wear parts and can be bought individually.
Air Max, Air SE or ArGo?
The Air SE is the simple variant with five preset temperature levels and micro-USB — the affordable entry. The ArGo is the most compact of the three and fits a trouser pocket, but has the shortest runtime. The Air Max is the strongest: largest cell, degree-precise temperature, USB-C and by far the longest runtime in the Air family.
How to use it
- Fill the glass stem loosely with ground herbs.
- Place the stem in the heater well and switch the device on.
- Select the temperature by the degree and set the session timer.
- Wait for it to heat up, then draw slowly and evenly.
- Remove the stem, tap it out and clean the heater well with the brush.
