Who is the XQ2 for?
For customers wanting a desktop unit with degree-precise temperature who do not want to give up the balloon. The XQ2 succeeds the Extreme Q and covers three ways of consuming: balloon, whip and drawing directly on the device. For shops it is the demo unit on which the difference between balloon and whip can be shown in a single conversation.
Pure convection instead of hybrid heating
Unlike the portable Arizer devices, the XQ2 works by pure convection: a ceramic element heats only the air flowing through and the herbs never touch a hot surface. On desktop units that is both the usual and the better route, because enough airflow is available. The result is clean, even vapour with no scorched edges in the load.
Three ways of consuming in one device
The balloon is filled by the fan and can then be emptied at leisure — practical in a group because it can be passed around. The whip assembly with glass mouthpiece allows a direct draw, and the connector rotates through 360 degrees so the tubing never gets in the way. If you prefer, you can also draw directly on the device.
Degree-precise temperature from 50 °C to 260 °C
The range is the same as on the Extreme Q, but the XQ2 sets it by the degree rather than in jumps. For advice that is the main difference: customers used to a particular value find it exactly here. The device is ready in around ninety seconds; filling a balloon takes two to four minutes depending on fan speed.
Chamber for 0.1 to 0.5 grams
The chamber takes between 0.1 and 0.5 grams and sits closer to the heating element than on its predecessor, which spreads the heat more evenly. That wide span is a selling point: the same device suits a single draw in the evening and a group at the weekend, without needing two chambers.
Remote with three presets
The remote controls temperature and fan and can be loaded with three temperature presets. A household of three people who vaporize differently can store a setting each and never has to readjust. An improved LED display on the device shows the current state.
Cleaning
What needs cleaning is the chamber, the screens, the whip and the balloon connector. Glass parts can be soaked completely in isopropyl alcohol, silicone parts are rinsed. Because the airpath is generously dimensioned, less builds up than on portable devices — in practice a thorough clean every few weeks is enough.
XQ2, Extreme Q or V-Tower?
The V-Tower is the simplest and cheapest device: whip only, no remote, no fan. The Extreme Q offers balloon and whip with a remote. The XQ2 adds degree-precise temperature, three programmable presets, the rotating connector and the reworked chamber position.
How to use it
- Fill the chamber loosely with ground herbs and fit it.
- Switch the device on and select the temperature by the degree.
- Let it heat for around 90 seconds.
- For the balloon start the fan; for the whip draw directly.
- After use empty the chamber and clean the glass parts.
