The Arizer Extreme Q is a desktop vaporizer with a ceramic heating element that handles both modes: fill a balloon or draw directly through the whip. It is operated either on the unit or with the included remote control.

Who is the Extreme Q for?

For stationary use at home and for shops needing a demo unit several people can try in turn. The Extreme Q is a mains device with no battery — plug it in and it runs as long as you like. For customers who vaporize on the sofa in the evening rather than on the move, it is the more affordable alternative to the large desktop units of the competition and still offers both operating modes.

Balloon or whip — both in the same device

The decisive point against whip-only units like the V-Tower: the Extreme Q can fill a balloon with its built-in fan, and that balloon can then be emptied at leisure with no device in hand. Anyone preferring a direct draw takes the whip assembly instead. In practice: the whip for one person at a desk, the balloon for a group, because it can be passed around.

Fan speeds control vapour density

Fan speed is adjustable across several steps. It determines two things: how quickly the balloon fills and how dense the vapour becomes. A low setting draws air slowly through the herb and gives more aromatic, thinner vapour; a high setting fills fast and denser. For whip use the fan can be switched off entirely, so that only your own draw moves the air.

Ceramic heating element and temperature range

Heating is by a ceramic element and the range runs from 50 °C to 260 °C. At the top end the Extreme Q therefore sits well above the portable Arizer devices, which stop at 220 °C — desktop units work with more airflow and need the headroom. It takes around two minutes to reach operating temperature; after that the device holds it for as long as it stays switched on.

Remote control

Temperature and fan can be controlled with the included remote without getting up. What sounds like a gimmick is in daily use the reason customers keep the device: sitting on the sofa and wanting ten degrees more should not mean walking to the table every time. Batteries are included.

Glass cyclone bowl

The herbs sit in a glass bowl through which the hot air rises in a swirl. That swirl extracts the load evenly without stirring in between. Because the bowl is glass the flavour stays neutral and cleaning is simple: tap it out and soak it when needed.

Cleaning and wear parts

What needs cleaning is the cyclone bowl, the screens and the whip assembly. Glass parts can be soaked completely in isopropyl alcohol; the silicone tubing is rinsed. Replacement screens and balloons are wear parts and can be bought individually — for retail a reliable follow-up business, because balloons are changed regularly.

Extreme Q, XQ2 or V-Tower?

The V-Tower is the stripped-down variant: whip only, no balloon, no remote, no fan — but the cheapest. The XQ2 is the successor with pure convection, degree-precise temperature and three programmable presets on the remote. The Extreme Q sits between them and covers both modes at a middle price.

How to use it

1. Fill the glass cyclone bowl loosely with ground herbs and fit it.
2. Switch the device on and select the temperature.
3. Let it heat for around two minutes.
4. For balloon use fit the balloon and start the fan; for whip use draw directly.
5. After use empty the bowl and clean the glass parts.
