The Arizer Air SE is the entry point to the Air line: five preset temperature levels, two buttons, a replaceable 18650 cell. No display, no menu — and for exactly that reason the device that needs least explaining across the counter, while still using the same glass vapour path as the larger models.

Who is the Air SE for?

For customers looking for a solid first device with no menus, and for selling in the entry price bracket. The Air SE deliberately does without a display and degree-precise temperature — in return there is nothing to knock out of adjustment and nothing to set wrongly. Anyone advising across the counter saves half the explanation. For customers who later want more, the Air Max stands beside it with degree-precise control and USB-C.

Five levels instead of degree selection

Instead of a number on a display the Air SE shows the chosen level through a colour LED: blue stands for 180 °C, white for 190 °C, green for 200 °C, orange for 205 °C and red for 210 °C. The steps are deliberately close together and cover exactly the range in which dry herbs vaporize sensibly. Anyone after flavour stays on blue or white; anyone after dense vapour moves to orange or red.

Replaceable 18650 battery

The back slides open and the 18650 cell lifts out. In this price bracket that is unusual — most entry devices have a fixed battery that decides the life of the device. A charged spare makes the Air SE effectively continuous, and after years the cell is replaced for a few euros instead of the whole vaporizer. For retail that is a strong sustainability argument.

Insulated airpath and glass stem

The herbs sit in the borosilicate stem, which goes into the heater well. The airpath is routed separately from the electronics, so the vapour touches only glass and ceramic — no plastic in the vapour path, even though the housing itself is plastic. To clean, pull the stem out and soak it separately.

Runtime, charging and shut-off

One charge lasts over sixty minutes of vaporizing. Charging is over micro-USB; pass-through allows use on the cable. After ten minutes the device switches itself off — that saves charge and stops a forgotten chamber heating on. Allow around a minute for heat-up, correspondingly less on the lower levels.

Two-button operation

There are no more than two buttons: one for on and off, one for level selection. Two light indicators report operating state and chosen temperature. That makes the Air SE the device in the range that can be operated without a manual — a point that counts for more in the shop conversation than the spec sheets suggest.

Cleaning and wear parts

Tap the stem out, soak it in isopropyl alcohol when needed, clean the heater well with the supplied stir tool and a brush. Four replacement screens are included; they are the only real wear part. Clean regularly and draw resistance and flavour stay constant — a gummed-up screen is the most common cause of complaints that are not device faults.

Air SE, Air Max or ArGo?

The Air SE is the affordable entry with five preset levels. The Air Max offers degree-precise temperature, USB-C, a larger 26650 battery and up to two and a half hours of runtime. The ArGo is the most compact of the three and fits a trouser pocket. All three use the same glass stem principle, so customers stay in a familiar system when they trade up.

How to use it

1. Fill the glass stem loosely with ground herbs.
2. Place the stem in the heater well.
3. Switch on with the main button and choose the level with the second button.
4. Let it heat for around a minute, then draw slowly.
5. Remove the stem, tap it out and clean the heater well with the brush.
