Description

The Smono 70s is the conduction vaporiser for customers who want speed: twenty to twenty-five seconds to operating temperature, a dual-sided heating system and a temperature range reaching 240 degrees. Added to that is a combined silicone and ceramic filter that keeps the vapour free of particles, plus an OLED display. A device you pocket and use without thinking about it. For the trade it is the article with the highest repeat rate in the range, because customers use it daily and not only at weekends.

Features

  • Dual conduction heating system, the chamber is warmed from two sides — no cold zone at the top
  • Even extraction without harsh combustion, even with a full chamber, and less need to stir
  • Heat-up time of twenty to twenty-five seconds to operating temperature, faster than any convection device
  • Stepless temperature control from 160 to 240 degrees — more headroom than most devices offer
  • Adjustable session timer from three to six minutes, after which the device switches off
  • Stainless steel chamber holding 0.3 g, easy to clean and taking on no taste of its own
  • Combined silicone and ceramic filter system for clean, particle-free vapour, particularly with finely ground material
  • Bright OLED display with temperature and battery level, easy to read outdoors too
  • 2300 mAh battery for five to six sessions per charge, that is several days in normal use
  • USB-C charging in under two hours, so full again over a lunch break
  • Light, pocket-friendly housing for daily transport and weighing next to nothing
  • Two mouthpiece screens included, available individually — the most frequent repeat purchase on this device
  • Filling tool and cleaning brush are included, so the customer is fully equipped
  • German brand with long-term spare parts availability and warranty handled without a detour overseas

Who is the Smono 70s for?

For customers who see the vaporiser as a tool and not as a hobby. The 70s is ready fast, demands no familiarisation and reliably delivers dense vapour. In the trade it is the device for switchers who are used to a pace convection vaporisers do not offer. Anyone wavering between several devices in the shop usually decides on this one after the first draw. If you demonstrate in the shop, show the 70s last — after it, slower devices feel cumbersome.

Dual conduction

The chamber is warmed from two sides instead of only from below. That sounds like a detail but changes the result noticeably: the load heats through more evenly, there is no cold zone at the top and you need to stir less often. With a full chamber in particular the difference from single-sided devices is clear. For the customer it means consistent draws across the whole session. Stir anyway and you get noticeably more out of the last part; the tool for it is included.

Up to 240 degrees

The range goes higher than on almost all comparable devices. In practice hardly anyone needs 240 degrees permanently, but the headroom is useful for getting the last of a load out at the end of a session. Most customers work between 190 and 210 degrees. The span upwards is a selling argument against devices that stop at 220 degrees. For the trade the figure 240 on the spec sheet is also an argument that sticks in an online price comparison.

Silicone and ceramic filter

Instead of a simple metal screen there is a combined filter system of silicone and ceramic that holds back fine particles. The vapour therefore arrives cleaner, which counts particularly with finely ground material. The filter is cleaned with the brush or in isopropyl alcohol. Replacements are available individually and belong on the shelf as a wear part. Anyone using it daily should clean the filter every two weeks, otherwise the draw resistance rises noticeably.

Session timer

The timer can be set between three and six minutes, after which the device switches off. Three minutes are enough for a short session alone, six for a round of two. For customers who put the device down, the shut-off is the most important function of all — it stops material burning in a hot oven. Six minutes is at the same time the limit beyond which a load is exhausted anyway — setting it longer achieves nothing.

Battery and charging

2300 mAh is enough for five to six sessions; charging happens over USB-C in under two hours. At high temperatures the number of sessions drops, which is in the nature of conduction. For daily use that means charging about every other day. Operation on the cable is not provided for. Anyone travelling a lot carries a power bank, because the battery cannot be swapped.

The stainless steel chamber

0.3 grams is a decent fill for a device this size and enough for a round of two. Stainless steel takes on no taste of its own and tolerates any cleaning, including alcohol and a brush. Brush the chamber out while still warm and you save yourself the work later. Over the years the flavour stays the same, which is not the case with coated chambers. Anyone using the device in company also appreciates that the chamber can be refilled in seconds while still warm.

Cleaning and wear

Wear occurs on the mouthpiece screens and the seals, both available individually. Two screens are included, which is enough to start with but not for a year. For the trade the screen repurchase is the obvious follow-up business. Clean regularly and draw resistance and flavour stay constant for years. A set of replacement screens costs almost nothing at wholesale and covers the most frequent repurchase in the whole range.

Smono as a brand

Smono is a German brand with a continuous range and spare parts available for years. A device sold today can still be supplied with screens and seals in three years, and the warranty is handled without a detour overseas. For the trade that is the real difference from nameless imported devices. Carry the brand and you therefore keep selling to the same customers for years instead of starting the consultation over each time.

70s or Smono 5?

Both work by conduction and are ready quickly. The 70s heats from both sides, goes up to 240 degrees and has the filter system; the Smono 5 has the larger 0.4 gram titanium chamber and Smart Puff Identify. Anyone needing the larger load takes the 5; anyone wanting the higher temperature and the clean vapour, the 70s. The two are priced close together. Stock both and you can answer any customer question about a fast device without switching brands.

How to use it

  1. Fill the stainless steel chamber with finely ground material and press it down lightly.
  2. Select the temperature, around 200 degrees to begin with.
  3. Set the session timer to between three and six minutes.
  4. Let it heat for about twenty seconds, then draw slowly.
  5. Brush the chamber out after the session while it is still warm.
