The M7

The M7 is the device that made DynaVap's name: a vaporiser the size of a pen, with no battery, no electronics and no display. The cap is heated with a jet-flame lighter, and when the built-in bi-metal clicks, vaporisation temperature is reached. There is no more technology in it than that — and that is exactly why the device lasts practically forever. Anyone who has grasped that nothing here can break rarely buys anything else again.

Who is the M7 for?

For customers who do not want a battery. That is not a niche but a fixed group: people whose every electronic device has eventually died on them, people who do not want to carry chargers when travelling, and people who see the effort as part of the thing. In retail the M7 is the device you have to explain and which then sells itself, because the first click answers everything. Anyone who wants to press a button is in the wrong place. Anyone who has grasped that nothing here can break rarely buys anything else again.

The click — the whole principle in one sound

Inside the cap sits a bi-metal that deforms on reaching vaporisation temperature and audibly clicks as it does. You heat, hear the click, take the flame away and draw. As it cools it clicks a second time — the signal to reheat. There is no electronics to calibrate and no sensor to fail. This cap is the actual reason a device without power works reliably at all. We recommend heating one up in the shop and letting the customer hear the click; it replaces any explanation.

Heating with flame or induction

A jet-flame lighter is recommended: pass it evenly over the whole cap while rotating the device, do not hold it in one spot. An ordinary lighter or a candle works too but leaves soot on the cap. Anyone vaporising regularly reaches for an induction heater — put the device in and the click comes after five to eight seconds, without flame and without soot. For retailers the induction heater is the obvious add-on sale with the M7. It costs about as much as the device itself and still regularly doubles the till receipt.

Chamber, Adjust-a-Bowl and economy

The chamber holds around a tenth of a gram. Using the Adjust-a-Bowl function the tip can be turned inside the midsection, shrinking the chamber to half — the most important adjustment on the whole device for microdosing. Because only as much is heated as is actually needed, the same amount of material lasts considerably longer than on devices with a fixed chamber. That very point brings customers back into the shop. Finely ground material is not a recommendation at this chamber size but a requirement.

What was improved on the tip in 2024

DynaVap reworked the tip: more mass for more even heat distribution, a finless tip that passes less heat to the midsection, and the Septa Serrated Slicer, which breaks up the material as the cap goes on. In practice that means fewer hot spots, more even extraction and a midsection you can still hold after several loads. The new parts fit existing devices and are available separately, so older units can be brought up to 2024 specification.

Modular build

Cap, tip, midsection, condenser and mouthpiece are individual parts that combine freely — across model boundaries too. Want a glass midsection? Screw one on. Need a longer mouthpiece for cooler vapour? Take the M7 XL's. For retailers this system means every single part is its own article and customers buy replacements for years instead of buying a new device. For the sale that means: the device is the entry, the accessories are the business.

Connecting to a water pipe

The mouthpiece is tapered and fits 10 mm joints without an adapter. Running the M7 on a water pipe gives noticeably cooler vapour, because the device's short airpath is the format's real weakness. Adapters for 14 mm joints are in the range. Customers who already have a water filter at home should be asked about it — it is the cheapest way to make the M7 considerably more pleasant. A 14 mm adapter costs a few euros and therefore belongs in every order with an M7.

Cleaning

The device dismantles completely and can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol; metal and glass take that without restriction. Because the chamber is small and heated directly, residue builds up faster than on large devices — wiping it out with a cotton swab after every second or third load keeps the draw easy. A DynaVap that is cleaned regularly still tastes like day one after years. A set of spare O-rings on the shelf covers the most frequent repurchase and costs almost nothing to buy in.

Durability as a selling point

There is nothing that could age: no battery, no electronics, no seal that goes brittle. The O-rings are wear parts costing a few cents, everything else is metal. In wholesale that is a double-edged argument — you sell the customer a device only once. In return they come back for caps, tips, mouthpieces, midsections and induction heaters, and they do so for years. That is exactly why DynaVap customers return more often on average than buyers of electric devices.

M7, M7 XL or B2?

The M7 is the original: smallest format, lowest price, stainless steel. The M7 XL has the same internals but an extended mouthpiece with condenser — noticeably cooler vapour, at the cost of a few centimetres. The B2 is the entry model with the larger chamber, the anti-roll housing and the 10 mm mouthpiece as standard. Anyone wanting the smallest takes the M7; anyone wanting a cool draw takes the XL. All three use the same cap and the same click principle, so they differ only in format, material and chamber.

How to use it

1. Remove the cap and pack the chamber loosely with finely ground material.
2. Put the cap on and twist it slightly — the slicer breaks up the material.
3. Heat the cap evenly with the jet-flame lighter, rotating the device as you go.
4. At the click take the flame away, wait five seconds and draw slowly.
5. After the second click reheat, or empty the chamber while it is still warm.
